The Loreto was established by Katherina Lobkowicz on grounds of an older Capuchin Monastery and dedicated to the Holy Nativity after the Sancta Casa in Loretto Italy. The main architect for the Baroque renovation was Christoph Dietzenhofer and his son Kilian Ignaz Dietzenhofer. The Loreto serves as a treasury for religious objects.
